Start generating passive revenue with the claim listings add-on. With this extension, business owners can identify themselves as the owner and get verified. This ensures your listings are claimed, consistent, and cared for – a strategy used by Yelp and Yellow Pages.

Owners can pay your website to CLAIM that listing, take over it and add more relevant information about their business. This is a powerful tool that can be used on any directory website. We especially recommend this plugin if you are importing business data into your WordPress directory website.

Additionally, a verified listing badge is displayed after listings are claimed ensuring site visitors your businesses’ information is up to date, accurate, and relevant.

Charge users to claim listings with WooCommerce & Posterno

The claim listings functionality is integrated with the WooCommerce plugin and our own WC Paid Listings extension. When filling the claim listing form, your users will be given the option to select a package they wish to purchase. Alternatively you can also decide to force charge a specific package while claiming listings.

Because the claim listings addon integrates with our WC Paid Listings extension, we automatically support recurring packages with the WooCommerce Subscription plugin.

Below here, you can see an example of what the claim listing form looks like when users are allowed to choose a package on their own.

Save time by deciding when to charge users

The claim listings addon provides 2 charging methods:

1. Automatically charge users while filling in the claim form.
2. Charge users only after the claim has been reviewed by an administrator.

In situations where claims are rejected but the user has already paid, you may need to provide a refund. This inevitably increases the amount of time you spend reviewing claims. A better option is to request the payment only after you have confirmed that a claim is legit. When using the 2nd option, this automatically sends an email to the user that submitted the claim with a special link to complete the payment. Only after the claim has been reviewed.

Once the payment is complete, the claim will automatically be set to “approved” and the listing automatically assigned to the new user.

Should you wish to always charge users when submitting a claim, you can simply disable the option highlighted into the screenshot.

Easy to use claims management panel

As an administrator, under the “Listings” menu, a new “Claims” page will be available for you. From here you will have access to all claims submitted onto your site and you’ll be able to change status/delete and review claims.

By clicking the “View” button, you’ll be able to view all the details about the claim, including any attached file and message.

Email notifications

The claim listings addon introduces 4 new email notifications so that you can keep your members always up to date about the status of their claims. Of course, each email can be freely customized through the Posterno’s emails editor.

1. Claim has been approved.
2. Claim has been received.
3. Claim has been rejected.
4. Claim is pending payment.
