Version 1.1.0 of Posterno is now available for download from wordpress.org. This is the first major update since the out-of-beta release v1.0.0. We’re now going to dive into the new features.

2 New field types

Posterno now comes with 2 new additional field types that help you customize your directory even more! Introducing the “heading title” and “pricing” fields.

The heading title field type

As the name suggests, this is a simple title field that can be used to spruce up your listings and account forms. Useful if you wish to split up your forms in sections and give your members more information about what kind of details they are filling in.

The pricing field type

The pricing field allows you to add prices to your listings and even your member’s profiles. You can format your prices the way you wish through the new settings that have been added to the options panel.

Compatibility with the Search forms addon

Of course, the new pricing field is also compatible with the search forms extension. You can use pricing fields with the range slider, range lists and number ranges facets.

Visibility options

This update brings new visibility options for your listings custom fields. You can now decide whether some fields shouldn’t be visible on the single listing page. This is particularly useful if you wish to collect some private data from listings owners that doesn’t necessarily need to be displayed.

Hide default fields from the admin panel

In some cases you may want to hide the default fields that come with Posterno. Up until now this was only available for the frontend. Version 1.1.0 adds a new option that you can enable to remove fields from the admin panel too.

Bug fixes

This release fixes some minor issues and tweaks a few other things. Full changelog can be found on wordpress.org https://wordpress.org/plugins/posterno/#developers
